Twelve years building brands from inside real businesses, not from the agency side.
One partner who makes your value clear, makes your company look the part, and makes sure the work gets done.
I understand the business. I’ve sat in the seat responsible for growing brands, making tough decisions, and figuring out how to win. I bring that experience to your business, with an understanding of what’s at stake, what matters most, and how to make creativity give you an ROI.
I make it compelling. Your business has a story worth seeing. I bring it into focus through thoughtful design and clear messaging, helping you make a strong first impression, earn trust, and show the right people why you matter.
And I actually build the thing. Good ideas deserve to become something real. I roll up my sleeves and turn strategy into brands, websites, and everyday tools, carrying the work from the first sketch to the final details that bring it to life.
What it’s like to work with me
“We didn’t feel like we hired another vendor. We felt like we gained a trusted partner. Justin doesn’t simply complete an assignment. He takes ownership of it as if his own name and reputation are on the line. He quickly understood our company, our audience, and what made our story worth telling.”
Hunter Klippert, President, Ideal Construction“Justin has a way of taking what’s in your head and turning it into something clear. He didn’t just make things look better. He asked the right questions, understood where we were trying to go, and helped us communicate what makes our company different. There’s a level of business thinking behind the creative work that’s hard to find.”
Scott Bowles, Bowles Homes“We had built a company we were proud of, but our brand didn’t really show it. Justin helped close that gap. The way we present ourselves now finally feels like the quality of the business we’ve spent years building. Our team is proud of it, our customers notice it, and we feel more confident putting our name in front of anyone.”
Chris Apple, CAM Pro ServicesBuilt for companies that have outgrown the way they present themselves. Builders, car washes, service firms, and a church. Every one left looking as strong as it runs.
Seventy-eight years of hospitals, schools and public buildings delivered early and under budget, but RFQ documents that weren’t on par with the quality of their organization. They had no one in-house to make the improvements, so many of the high-level executives spent time creating the documents, pulling them away from what mattered most in their business.
A refreshed visual identity and design system, then two Statements of Qualifications built on it: one rural hospital RFQ and one Defense Manufacturing Center RFQ. Every page had to prove something: results in hard numbers, project capability, company culture, and the qualifications needed to take on the job.
Produced both 25- and 100-page RFQ documents. Saved the team a week of work, elevated their brand’s presentation, and produced real documents that earned them a seat at the table to earn the job.
A family-owned Arkansas car wash in growth mode, needing marketing systems, leadership and branding to keep up with rapid expansion. Every new location had to feel like the same hometown business, while maintaining a strong marketing presence for existing locations and protecting the family-friendly brand along the way.
Nine years building the brand and the team behind it. That included more than can fit here, but involved campaigns across billboards, TV, text and digital; an oil change rebrand built around a no-surprises online quote tool; a mobile-first website with memberships and a digital wallet; an annual newsletter; and executive-level company overviews and financial presentations.
Splash grew from 6 locations to 28 with one consistent brand. A marketing team was built, and the marketing systems evolved to drive real results that best serve the company and its customers.
An owner-operator with 15+ years in the field and the underpinnings of a strong business. However, their branding and visual materials stopped at a handful of print pieces, and their website didn’t match. Additionally, the owner had no effective, efficient way to produce great pieces that were on brand.
Brand messaging built on the StoryBrand framework and a tightened visual identity: deeper charcoal, one typeface family and a 56-icon set. On top of that, a 26-piece collateral catalog: website refresh, bank property-program proposal, technician trade manual, and a client follow-through set built around a 21-point property standard. Each piece came with a fully editable version (PPTX, Word, Canva, etc.), plus a fully customized Claude Design System so he’s in control of producing what he needs moving forward.
One brand everywhere a property manager meets it: the website, the truck, the proposal, the report card left on the door. An owner-operator who now shows up like a company twice his size, and who is in the driver’s seat of what goes into circulation with his logo on it.
For the projects you need to get off your plate and out into the world. From a sales deck to a website refresh, I bring clear thinking, thoughtful design, and hands-on execution.

Align on scope → Create → Refine → Deliver
Each project starts with an estimated cost and a clear scope. Work is billed for time spent, and we’ll discuss any changes that could affect the estimate before moving forward.
A creative and marketing partner who knows your business and keeps things moving. We build a priority list together, then I get to work, month after month, always available to jump on the inevitable “pop-up” needs you’ll have, too.
10–30 hours of dedicated support each month, tailored to your workload, goals, and budget.

Monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly, scaled to the level, if you want them.
Fixed scope, fixed price. Each one picks up where the last leaves off, so you start where the brand actually is.
Every logo version and tagline option, with the files you need to actually use them.
For a brand that’s mostly right but looks and sounds out of line with the company it’s become.
The complete build: 21 categories of brand identity, documented so your team can hold to it.
Collateral, editable Canva templates, and a fully built design system, so your team can run it without me.
First, I’m a husband and a dad to five. They’ve given me a deeper measure of success: doing work I’m proud of while being present for the people I love. The years move quickly. I want to be thoughtful about what I build with them.
For twelve years, I built brands inside real operations, helping shape a brand and build a marketing department as the company grew from six locations to twenty-eight. From hands-on creative work to executive leadership, I learned what it takes to turn ideas into something that works in the everyday life of a business. That work had to hold up on a Monday morning with crews rolling out, not just look good in a portfolio. It taught me that a brand isn’t a logo. It’s a promise a company keeps every day, on every job and in every handshake.
Walking away from that took a step of faith. I wasn’t leaving the work. I was choosing to put the things that matter most first, and to spend my days building what lasts, at home and at work.
I know your company holds more than a bottom line. It carries years of effort, people who depend on you, and a reputation you’ve worked hard to earn. When you trust me with it, I bring the care, candor, and responsibility I bring to my own business. I’ll ask the hard questions, pay attention to the small things, and see the work through.
So when you trust me with your company, I won’t treat it like a project. I’ll treat it like it has my name on the door, because once we shake hands, it does.
Professional enough for the boardroom. Human enough to sit at the kitchen table.
